The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) produces quality health care professionals who are competent in health care delivery, including the provision of patient-centered care and other health care services and programs. Online coursework: science courses with labs: Yes; science courses without labs: Not Applicable; non-science courses: Yes. All science courses must have the associated labs.

Pass/fail grades: science courses with labs: Yes, but only if no letter grade option available; science courses without labs: Yes, but only if no letter grade option available; non-science courses: Yes, but only if no letter grade option available. We accept Pass/Fail courses to fulfill the prerequisite requirements, however, a letter grade of C is assigned for Pass grades to calculate the GPA. Note that this will impact the GPA calculations.

Completion timing: All Math and Science courses must be completed by the end of Spring 2027. Students with at least 70hrs are approved to take a maximum of 6hrs in non-Math/Science prerequisite courses during the Summer I 2027 term. All prerequisite courses must be completed prior to Summer Academy which begins in July 2027.

Letters from family, friends, or clergy are NOT accepted. * Letters should address the applicant’s character traits in relation to adaptability, empathy, ethics, intellectual ability, interpersonal relations, judgment, leadership, oral communication, reliability, and written communication. Evaluators should provide specific examples supporting their ratings. * Letters of Recommendations should be submitted directly from the evaluator to the PharmCAS portal to be considered for review with our Admissions Committee and meet application deadlines. * All Letters of Recommendation must be from individuals residing in the U.S.

Applicants selected for an interview participate in a holistic admissions process designed to assess academic readiness, communication skills, professionalism, ethical reasoning, motivation for pursuing pharmacy, and alignment with the College’s mission. Interviews are conducted virtually through Kira Talent and include a live panel interview with faculty, staff, alumni, and/or pharmacy practitioners. Interview evaluations are completed using a standardized rubric to ensure consistency and fairness in the admissions process. The Admissions Committee considers interview performance alongside academic achievement, leadership, service, healthcare exposure, and other experiences when making admission decisions.
