Program Description

THE BEN AND MAYTEE FISCH COLLEGE OF PHARMACY

The Fisch College of Pharmacy is housed in the W.T. Brookshire Hall, a state-of-the-art building, specifically designed to encourage student-faculty interaction, support our innovative teaching, and includes a variety of student-centered study spaces. The College uses Team-Based Learning (TBL) as our primary teaching/learning method. In TBL, students are accountable for learning fundamental concepts outside the classroom and applying these in class to solve real-world problems.

Completion timing: June 1, 2026 unless approval for summer coursework previously obtained from the Office of Student Affairs.

Letter of Recommendation Requirements

Three (3) evaluations (letters of reference) are required.

Accepted: Employer, Faculty Advisor, Health Care Professional, Pharmacist, Pre-Health Advisor, Professor (Any Subject Area), Professor (Liberal Arts), Professor (Math), Professor (Science), Supervisor

Conditionally Accepted: Politician, Teaching Assistant

Not Accepted: Clergy, Co-Worker, Family Member, Friend

Committee letters: Not Accepted

Three letters of reference must be sent to PharmCAS by the application deadline, preferably with the application submission. However, additional letters submitted after the application deadline may be considered. Letters of reference should be requested from individuals who know you professionally or academically. Examples include employers, faculty advisors, healthcare professionals, pharmacists, pre-health advisors, professors, and/or supervisors. Any combination of these is acceptable.

Interview Format: Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)

The Fisch College of Pharmacy interview process consists of a math and writing assessment, a question and answer panel with current faculty members and with students, a “virtual tour” of the building, and interview questions asked in the Multiple Mini-Interview format.
