Program Description

The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy offers a fully accredited doctor of pharmacy program. It is primarily a direct-entry, 0+6 program, however, we do accept transfer students each year.

What makes Findlay different?

  • Students are offered multiple dual degree options, including, but not limited to, MBAMaster of Science in Health Informatics, Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science (DNA/Serology or Toxicology) and an AA in Equestian Studies along with the Pharm. D.
  • Professional courses taught in small sections of a maximum of 36 students
  • Classes are taught interactively, with a faculty to student ratio during on-campus professional years, of 1:8!
  • Senior students do all nine months of clinical education at one of 30+ hub sites, but can choose from a variety of elective experiences away from the hub to help each student meet personal and professional goals.
  • All professors are doctorally qualified.
  • Professors have an educationally diverse background.
  • Our faculty use an interactive teaching style, integrating subjects such as pharmacy, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, kinetics, herbal and over-the-counter therapies into an organ system based curriculum.

Interview Information

Interview Format: Individual applicants with one interviewer

Offers to interview are based on completed applications, transcripts & test scores. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis. Students will be asked to type a short essay and will also interview, one-on-one, with a member of College of Pharmacy. Each interview will be approximately 60 minutes in length and is an important part of the admission decision. A computer or iPad for the essay will be furnished for on campus interviews. A photo ID may be required.
