Arkansas Pharmacy School Info and Requirements

Unlike the 12+ school options you have to learn to be a pharmacy tech in Arkansas, if you’re looking to further your education and become a Pharmacist, you’ll need to pick from two universities.

That’s because in order to become a pharmacist in Arkansas, you’ll need to earn a Doctorate level degree in Pharmacy (commonly called a PharmD degree). PharmD programs are usually earned in a 4-year program that follows a 4-year undergraduate degree program. And you’ll also need to earn that PharmD at a school that the ACPE, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, has accredited. In the state of Arkansas, that leaves you two options.

The good news. Both of the PharmD programs offered at The University of Arkansas and Harding University, are great programs and schools. Not only do both programs have a strong graduation and licensure rate, neither of the admissions requirements state that you have to have earned your bachelors in Pharmacy. So no matter what you’ve studied in college before, you can find out which school will suit you best by reading their Pharmacy school profiles.
