The pharmacy curriculum at the University of Wyoming begins with a two-year preprofessional program followed by the 4-year professional program. TTUHSC School of Pharmacy’s program is student centered, focusing on problem-based educational strategies. The curriculum provides an integrated course context of pathophysiology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry and therapeutics, built on a solid understanding of the biomedical sciences. It offers expanded practice management instruction and clinical experiences early and throughout the four-year professional program. The South College School of Pharmacy is located in Knoxville, Tennessee and offers a unique 3-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum, and is the only accelerated PharmD program in Tennessee.
Through this 3-year curriculum, we achieve our mission to prepare pharmacy students to be proficient practitioners who deliver team-oriented patient care, with advocacy and compassion, to diverse populations. We prepare student pharmacists to participate in team-oriented care through experiences in interprofessional education, including on-campus laboratory simulations with physician assistant and nursing students. The faculty is composed of recognized pharmacy professionals devoted to student success. Letter of Recommendation Requirements
General Information
The South College School of Pharmacy strongly prefers three letters of recommendation. Two letters of recommendation are required. One letter must be submitted by the applicant’s pre-professional adviser at the college or university where the applicant completed the pre-pharmacy curriculum or by a faculty member who taught the applicant in the pre-pharmacy curriculum. It is preferred that one letter be submitted by a pharmacist who supervised the applicant in an employee or volunteer capacity. One letter may be submitted by any person chosen by the applicant, except that the letter may not be from a member of the applicant’s family, whether related by blood or marriage.
