Program Description

The only state-funded 4-year PharmD program located in a metropolitan area in Florida.  Our program offers:

Emphasis is placed on the comprehension and assimilation of knowledge, with subsequent demonstration of competency.  Lectures are limited to increase faculty to student interaction. Elective opportunities allow students to pursue areas of interest and focus their attention to position themselves for post-graduate education, training, or employment. The college places emphasis on pharmacogenomics, leadership, informatics, geriatric care.

Prerequisite Coursework Policies

Online coursework: Accepted for all prerequisite courses. We accept all online lectures and labs from regionally accredited 2 or 4 year institutions in the United States only.

Pass/fail grades: science courses with labs: Varies; science courses without labs: Varies; non-science courses: Varies.

Completion timing: Applicants are strongly encouraged to finish prerequisites by the end of Spring 2027. However, prerequisites must be completed by late July 2027; the school has not published the exact date.

Letter of Recommendation Requirements

Two (2) evaluations (letters of reference) are required.

Two (2) letters of recommendation are required. It is recommended, but not required, that one letter be from a biological or physical science professor. We do not accept letters of recommendation from family members or friends.

Interview Format: Individual applicants with two or more interviewers

Online interview option: Yes

All interviews are conducted virtually. Candidates who are invited to interview will be provided detailed information. The interview day will consist of an oral assessment by which the candidate will interview with various faculty and administrators of the college. All candidates who interview will be invited to participate virtually in a separate comprehensive informational session.
