Program Description
Mercer University’s College of Pharmacy is recognized nationally for its outstanding contributions in the areas of patient care, teaching, service, and research. The College is located on Mercer’s Graduate and Professional Campus in Atlanta, Georgia. The College attracts students from throughout the nation, as well as from countries around the world.
The College also offers a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and 4 combined degree programs: PharmD/MPH, PharmD/MBA, PharmD/MSHI, and PharmD/PhD. A variety of research and networking opportunities are provided to all students and unique programs include an Entrepreneurship Track, an International Pharmacy Program, Global Medical Missions, an Advanced Clinical Track, and an Indian Health Service experience.

Prerequisite Coursework Policies
Online coursework: Accepted for all prerequisite courses. Science labs taken on campus are preferred.
Pass/fail grades: science courses with labs: Varies; science courses without labs: Varies; non-science courses: Varies. Letter grades are preferred for Science and Math prerequisites. Pass grades must be considered equivalent to C or better letter grades from issuing college/university in order to be acceptable towards prerequisites.
Completion timing: Applicants are required to successfully complete all prerequisites with grades of C or better before enrollment in the PharmD Program (mid-December for Spring enrollment; early August for Fall enrollment).

Second Evaluation: A pharmacist or supervisor (from either healthcare or non-healthcare settings) who is familiar with your work ethic, volunteer impact, or shadowing experience.

On-campus interviews are extended to qualified applicants on a rolling basis until the class is filled. The process features one-on-one and group interactions with Mercer’s College of Pharmacy faculty, staff, and students, allowing candidates to evaluate if the program is the right fit for them. Concurrently, the interview results in a comprehensive evaluation of each applicant’s academic preparation, communication skills, professionalism, and leadership potential.
