Program Description

Tailor Your Training:  We prepare you to explore a variety of pharmacy career options and tailor your studies to your dream path. Pursue a PharmD/MPH or PharmD/MPH or earn a BS in Pharmacy Studies through our degree completion program. We offer research opportunities and an Interprofessional Education and Research Center where you will learn how to take care of patients in any setting.

Prerequisite Coursework Policies

Online coursework: Accepted for all prerequisite courses. Online courses must be taken at an accredited U.S. college or university

Pass/fail grades: science courses with labs: Yes, but only if no letter grade option available; science courses without labs: Yes, but only if no letter grade option available; non-science courses: Yes, but only if no letter grade option available.

Completion timing: Fall semester starts early August so applicants are expected to have completed all math and science prerequisites by the end of the spring 2027 term. With permission, summer coursework may be allowed; however, all courses must be completed prior to August 2027.

Letter of Recommendation Requirements

Two (2) evaluations (letters of reference) are required.

Recommended But Not Required: Pharmacist, Professor (Math), Professor (Science)

Accepted: Employer, Faculty Advisor, Health Care Professional, Pre-Health Advisor, Supervisor

Conditionally Accepted: Teaching Assistant

Not Accepted: Clergy, Co-Worker, Family Member, Friend, Politician

Committee letters: Accepted (counts as more than one: No)

Two letters of reference are required. Recommenders should be individuals who can provide insight into your academic abilities, personal characteristics, and readiness for a professional program. While not required, it is preferred that at least one letter be provided by a science or mathematics faculty member who can directly speak to applicants’ academic and professional qualifications. An Evaluation from a Teaching Assistant (TA) will be considered as that of a math or science faculty member, only if the TA was the primary instructor for the course.

Interview Format: Individual applicants with one interviewer

Online interview option: Yes

An interview is required and is by invitation only. The interview day typically consists of a half-day of activities including two individual interviews with a member of the Admissions Committee.
