Program Description
Creighton University is known for a long-standing tradition of excellence in the health sciences, as well as service, technological innovation, advancing health care professions, community outreach, professionalism, and clincial experience.
Our Pharm.D. program is no exception to this tradition. The Creighton Doctor of Pharmacy program was established in 1905. In 2001, we started the Nation’s first distance pathway, allowing students who are unable to relocate to take the majority of their pharmacy coursework online (the only exception being labs taken for a few weeks the summer in which distance students travel to Omaha, and pharmacy practice clincial experiences that, much of the time, can be completed closer to home). We offer both a traditional campus pathway, as well as the distance option as described above.
The clincial settings for both distance and campus students are diverse and numerous. We have over 1000 pre-established relationships with clinical sites accross the United States, and offer over 30 elective opportunities to chose from, including unique opportunities in Medication Therapy Management.
