Established in 1894, the University of Washington is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and its programs are accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
The curriculum is designed to provide students with the scientific background and clinical skills necessary to ensure the safe and effective use of medications in a variety of settings. Letter of Recommendation Requirements

General Information Two (2) required recommendation forms and letters of recommendation. The University of Washington School of Pharmacy requires, and will accept, two recommendations from a source who can speak to your professional demeanor, accountability and maturity, such as a professor, teaching assistant, employer or volunteer supervisor. Recommendations are NOT ACCEPTED from family members, friends, fraternity or sorority advisors, personal health care providers, high school faculty/advisors, mentors or job shadow professionals. Recommendations are not accepted from career services or reference letter centers; committee letters are also not acceptable. Please note that if you submit more than two letters of reference, our review committe has the ability to read them.

The PharmCAS Letter of Reference evaluation form/checklist is required.

Program Description

The Doctor of Pharmacy Program (Pharm.D.) is approved by the Puerto Rico Council on Higher Education (PRCHE), and has been granted full accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the accreditation agency of professional programs in pharmacy. The University of Puerto Rico, School of Pharmacy – Doctor of Pharmacy Program (Pharm.D.) is structured in four academic years in order to ensure the achievement of the abilities necessary to become a generalist practitioner who renders pharmaceutical care. Program Description

The College of Pharmacy, the oldest professional college at The University of New Mexico, was founded in 1945. The College of Pharmacy has approximately 3,100 graduates of its professional program. Nearly two-thirds of all practicing pharmacists in New Mexico are graduates of the College of Pharmacy. The College of Pharmacy offers the professional program leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. degree). The program consists of four years of professional education. Consideration for admission to the program requires 91 credit hours of prerequisite course work. The Pharm.D. program emphasizes student-centered problem-based learning and requires nine months of advanced professional practice experiences during the fourth year, including experiences in ambulatory care, community-based and institutional settings. The Pharm.D. degree is the only professional degree offered by the College of Pharmacy.
