Program Description

Our curriculum focuses on student success. We have an active learning classroom, which makes your time in class more efficient and increases your time to interact with your professors. We use proven evidence-based education approaches to create our teaching and testing style to ensure better knowledge retention and career success.
Our program is at the forefront of pharmacy education that is defining the pharmacist as part of the health care team. Students are trained in traditional pharmacy practices and learn applied patient care practices for an expanded scope of Pharmacy practice.
Hands-on learning includes patient simulation, internships, rotations, community outreach, and volunteer opportunities that allow you to practice confidently after graduation.
We offer affordable tuition, and we award over $300,000 in scholarships annually to student pharmacists.

Prerequisite Coursework Policies

Online coursework: Accepted for all prerequisite courses.

Pass/fail grades: Not accepted. We require all prerequisites be completed with a letter grade of C- (1.7 GPA) or higher.

Completion timing: Applicants must complete all prerequisites by August 9, 2027.

Letter of Recommendation Requirements

Two (2) evaluations (letters of reference) are required.

Recommended But Not Required: Employer, Faculty Advisor, Health Care Professional, Pharmacist, Pre-Health Advisor, Professor (Any Subject Area), Supervisor

Conditionally Accepted: Co-Worker, Teaching Assistant

Not Accepted: Clergy, Family Member, Friend, Politician

Committee letters: Conditionally accepted (counts as more than one: No)

We require two (2) letters of recommendation, also called evaluations in PharmCAS, from evaluators who can speak to your professional character, accountability, and notable experiences. It is recommended a supervisor (employer, pharmacist, or healthcare provider) submit an evaluation. It is also highly recommended you obtain an evaluation from an academic source (professor or academic advisor) who can speak knowledgeably about your academic history. You may submit up to 4 evaluations, but more than 2 evaluations are not required. Please note that if you submit more than two letters of reference, our review committee has the ability to read them. Interview Information

Interview Format: Individual applicants with one interviewer, Individual applicants with two or more interviewers

Online interview option: Yes

Candidates selected for an interview will receive an invitation over email from Pharmacy Admissions with instructions to sign up for an interview. The interview will take approximately 45 minutes and will be offered over zoom. Each candidate is typically interviewed by 1 faculty and 1 student ambassador. The interview is a requirement of admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy program.
