Program Description
The College of Pharmacy at The University of Arizona currently admits classes of 120-140 student pharmacists each fall semester in Tucson and Phoenix. Students are eligible to apply if they meet all admission requirements. Admitted students pursue a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
The College offers Early Decision through PharmCAS. The PharmCAS application will open 7/18/19. The Early Decision deadline is 9/3/19. Qualified applicants will be interviewed in September and October with decisions made by 10/18/19 for Early Decision. Rolling admissions will continue with interviews in November through February. Admission decisions will be announced within two weeks after each interview day. The application deadline for non-Early Decision candidates is 12/2/19.

Prerequisite Coursework Policies

Pass/fail grades: Not accepted.
Completion timing: Applicants need to complete all course prerequisites by June 1, 2027 prior to fall 2027 enrollment. Exceptions can be made for students on the quarter system.

Two PharmCAS evaluations/LORs are required, while submitting a third or fourth is optional. Recommenders enter their evaluations online. Instructions for evaluations can be found within the PharmCAS application. All evaluations/LORs must be submitted through PharmCAS. Recommendations from pharmacists or other healthcare professionals, employers, and/or professors who know the applicant very well are preferred.

Selected applicants will be invited to participate in 3 interviews: 1) a 1:1 online synchronous interview with a current PharmD student, 2) a 1:1 online synchronous interview with a faculty member, and 3) a virtual, asynchronous MMI through Kira Talent. Upon receipt of the invitation to participate in the interviews, applicants will have one week to complete each interview. Failure to complete each interview in the given timeframe will result in denial of admission. Some applicants may be invited to a follow-up online synchronous interview, typically over Zoom, as part of the evaluation process.
