Program Description

A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University prepares you to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care grounded in Jesuit values. In Fall 2021, Creighton welcomed its first pharmacy students to the Phoenix Hybrid Pathway, based in a state-of-the-art, seven-story health sciences campus in midtown Phoenix. Phoenix students benefit from a hybrid model that combines our innovative distance learning technology for didactic coursework with in-person labs taught on-site at our Park Central facility. This dynamic learning environment fosters collaboration and access to cutting-edge technology, simulation spaces and interprofessional education alongside students from other health professions. The Phoenix campus is part of the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, a partnership with Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, District Medical Group, and Valleywise Health. This alliance expands clinical opportunities and strengthens Creighton’s mission to serve the growing health care needs of Arizona’s diverse and underserved communities. For example, students complete rotations at Valleywise Health Medical Center, Arizona’s only public teaching hospital and a key provider of care to vulnerable populations. Students complete clinical rotations at one of more than 1,000 established practice sites across the U.S. and internationally, including over 30 elective options such as Medication Therapy Management and rural health. Creighton’s programs are designed to meet licensure requirements in all 50 states, preparing you to practice wherever your career takes you. Graduates are equipped for success in hospital systems, community pharmacies, government, military, research and academic settings.
